Bulb Laboratories for hVIVO

40 Bank Street

Canary Wharf

Conquest Electrical performed the intrinsic electrical design and electrical fit out for hVIVO’s new facility in Canary Wharf (a project which forms part of the Canary Wharf Group’s aim of making Canary Wharf a new hub for life sciences). Electrical works were carried out across circa 39,049 sq ft, across Level 24 and Level 25, converting shell and core office space into fully serviced and cutting edge CL3 laboratory spaces, office and supporting laboratory hub spaces, as well as 52 individual accommodation rooms for patients (each comprising of a bedroom and adjoining bathroom). We worked alongside the main contractor and specialist design consultants and contractors to successfully deliver this project to the client.

Electrical works performed included, Low Voltage distribution, submains, ELV containment, metering, installation of split load distribution boards, small power, data, Fire Alarm, infrastructure containment and power supplies for nurse call systems and stations, general and specialist lighting and lighting controls, mechanical power supplies inclusive of infrastructure wiring and controls for leak detection systems, AV infrastructure, testing and commissioning. Electrical works in respect of the CL3 laboratory also including installation of UPS and back-up power supplies that were an integral part of the installation for critical equipment and mechanical plant. UKPN shutdowns and coordination with the Canary Wharf Group management were required due to the sensitivities of working in an occupied building.
