Rolling Stock Yard

Conquest Electrical carried out the design and installation of the electrical services on the 3rd Floor, Rolling Stock Yard, Kings Cross, London for the client PacBio, an American biotechnology company, which wanted to set up a UK headquarter in London with state-of-the art demonstration area to display their product and train their scientific clients. The project involved sub-dividing the floor into open instrument laboratory to host 10 sequencing systems with a sample processing area. A sample preparation lab and storage area were created to support the instrument lab.

Electrical works included:

• design and build of all power supplies, including design and installation of new sub mains ATS mains ATS from generator back up supply;
• UPS installation;
• lighting;
• data and fire alarm systems for a new laboratory areas; and
• testing.
