White City Place, Hammersmith, London

Conquest Electrical was appointed to carry out the design and installation of the electrical services at White City Place, London for the client Engitix, a fast-growing drug discovery company, converting circa 8,000 sq ft into a high-quality CL2 laboratory and stylish office accommodation. The installation works were performed over a course of circa 4 months and came with considerable coordination challenges due to the space configuration, construction detail and plant area distribution and availability.

Scope of Works

The scope of works included the design and build of all power supplies, lighting, data and fire alarm systems for a new laboratory area, expansion of office space into additional suites, installation of new sub mains ATS from generator backup supply to feed labs, and UPS installation. The labs had a limited power supply from the landlord and loading calculations showed there was insufficient power. Key deliverables included New Sub-mains, Containment System, Small Power, New LV Switchgear, UPS Systems, Lighting & Lighting Control, Mechanical Power, Data & Telecoms, Fire Detection & Alarm, and Testing & Commissioning.

Results

The completed works comprised the electrical design and installation of services for the CL2 laboratory and office accommodation at White City Place, including new sub mains, ATS from generator backup supply, UPS installation, lighting, data, fire detection and alarm systems, and testing and commissioning.
