Project overview
Conquest Electrical supported the overhaul of the University’s existing IT laboratory facility on Levels 3 and 5 of the Copland Building, the Bio Science Laboratory on Level 3 of the Cavendish Building, and the associated teaching and learning spaces. Full electrical installation design and works were completed on a condensed programme to fit the summer break and in advance of the new term.
Scope of Works
The scope of works included LV distribution, submains, ELV containment, metering, installation of split load distribution boards, underfloor power track and power systems, lighting and lighting controls, mechanical power, AV infrastructure, testing and commissioning. Key deliverables included LV Distribution, Containment System, Small Power, UPS Systems, Lighting & Lighting Control, Mechanical Power, Data & Telecoms, Fire Detection & Alarm, and Testing & Commissioning.
Results
The completed works comprised the electrical installation design and works for the IT laboratory facility, Bio Science Laboratory and associated teaching and learning spaces, including LV distribution, containment systems, power systems, lighting and controls, mechanical power, AV infrastructure, and testing and commissioning.
